Confessions + Giveaway

Vodka and Soda

// I'm in a fight with Google. They're trying to tell me someone else bought livingonsweettea.com. Are you fucking kidding me?! I want to punch you, whoever you are.

// I've been getting the urge to go hiking and camping lately. It would be nice to say peace out to technology and phones for a couple days.

// I'll totally be lazy and shave around my eyebrows rather than plucking or waxing.

// A guy at the gym was doing press handstands to a planche. (Example) I instantly wanted to talk to him about how he knew what that was but thought he'd probably look at me funny.

// I've been getting a lot of my workout exercises from here. I keep forgetting there are so many variations.

// My new blonde smart move seems to be leaving my keys in the front door. Great security right?

I'm also giving away the Trophy Fish Ad space to a Facebook fan!

Work It.

When motivation strikes you need to go with it. At least that's what I'm telling my fluffy self. For the last week I've been on my meal prep, working out as often as possible and balancing a new household. Can anyone tell me why eating healthy is so damn expensive though? Makes me want to start my own garden so I can afford to eat the good stuff.

What I've been eating.. ya know, cause you just need to know.

Chocolate Protein P a n c a k e s a.k.a. the key to my workout loving heart. ( Recipe below!)
Overnight O a t s.  After I saw these I knew I had to make my own.
T u n a with mustard on rice cakes with a s p i n a c h salad.
Homemade turkey m e a t b a l l s, asparagus and brown r i c e
Sweet p o t a t o fries and asparagus with shredded chicken and q u i n o a
Yogurt with my new favorite g r a n o la

Chocolate Protein Pancakes
1 Scoop chocolate protein powder
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Almond milk, until desired consistency.
1 Egg

Mix everything together and pour into preheated pan. Flip when the pancakes start to bubble.

I top mine with natural peanut butter and a sliced banana.

Enjoy!

48 Hours

Last weekend ( July 12&13, I know I'm a little slow lately) the guy and I drove up to Ft Lauderdale to load the rest of my furniture.

Friday looked something like this:
drive for four hours -
Pack and move furniture for 2 hours-
scramble to eat and load up on Taco Bell to bring home-
shop at Bass Pro bc we needed new dive masks -
meet a couple friends for a drink and then head home to get 5 hours of sleep.

I dont think I was able to breathe that day.

Saturday was slightly better. I had a ton of stuff to do before we left and 5 hours of sleep was not enough. Talk about cranky. We also had to be back in Key West and unload furniture so the boyfriend could work a fishing trip that afternoon.

Wake up - Starbucks, of course- fill up with gas - cancel my gym membership and then drive 4 hours home.
My mom and aunt were making the drive down with us with a trailer full of crap. As soon as we got back it was a mad dash to get it all inside the house before our hunk of muscle left us.

At the point of it all being inside the house, I said screw it. It was time for happy hour.

A happy hour it was. I'd drank with my aunt before, all over the world. My Mom was a different story. This was a first. In my 28 years I'd never seen her drink more than half a beer. Yes, only half. ( Hi Mom!)

We all had a good time and it was a great way to shrug off the work we'd done that weekend. Sometimes you just have to kick back, relax, and hug a sailfish.

One year.

Technically we've been dating for over a year. Today just marks the first date the work 'girlfriend' was used. Ironically it wasn't even by him.

This weekend, last July, was the first time I drove the 4 hours to come see his guy. We spent the afternoon diving and fishing. I guess in some way this was a test of me. The captain of the boat kept letting the fish pee on me while he would take the hooks out. They did everything gross you can do on a fishing boat to see how I would handle it. Apparently I passed the test when I didn't freak out.

Once we were back on the dock the captain kept referring to me as AB's girlfriend. We're just going to name him AB for blogging purposes. Later that night we went downtown, which I later found out he hates, and found ourselves listening to a classic rock cover band. He looks over, takes the drink out of my hand and kisses me. Ladies and gents, that's all she wrote bc that sealed the deal for me.

Every other weekend for almost a year one of us would drive to the other. It was a lot of time and effort. Not counting the hour or two we would spend on the phone almost every single night. I've never talked to one person so much in my life.

Aside from my family, one person has never made as much of a difference in my life.

He gives me hope.
He makes me laugh.
Sometimes I think he can read my mind.
He gets me

One day at a time we're building a relationship. I think we've got a pretty solid foundation going and I look forward to seeing what we can do together.

Blogmopolitan / Weekend

Morning loves,
Right now I'm cursing who ever is doing construction on the apartment above ours. The noise is ridiculous. On the other hand I just found out that two friends from back home are coming to visit this weekend! Not only is it an anniversary of sorts for the guy and I but I get to spend another couple days with girlfriends!

I'm also linking up with Erin at Two Thirds Hazel for the next installment of the Blogmopolitan quiz. Have you done yours yet?

Enjoy your weekends!
